Lisa Orkin-Passloff OTR/L
Lisa is a licensed occupational therapist and received a Bachelor of
Science degree from Boston University, Sargent College of Allied Health
Professions in 1989. She is a certified Kripalu
Yoga instructor and completed this training from the Kripalu
Center for Yoga and Health in Lenox, Massachusetts, in 1997. Lisa
combines her medical knowledge as an occupational therapist with treating
individuals who have stress-related ailments with yoga
therapy. Lisa also completed a yoga therapy program at the Vivekananda
Kendra Yoga Research Foundation in Bangalore, India, in 1998. She
provides yoga therapy for individuals with back/neck pain, fibromyalgia,
migraine headaches and other stress-related problems.
Presently, Lisa offers private yoga sessions for individuals with health
issues, group yoga classes for children and adults,
and onsite corporate yoga classes. Lisa lectures
on the benefits of yoga, the mind/body/spirit connection and offers workshops
on these topics. In addition, Lisa has written articles
on these topics for the Massachusetts Yoga Network and for Kripalu
Center's Yoga Bulletin. Most recently, Lisa is featured in the July/August
2000 issue of Yoga Journal magazine with her own healing
story.
Lisa and her Yoga for Youngsters Program was featured February 5, 2001,
on Channel 56 WLVI 10 o'clock News on a "Fit for Life" segment. Lisa has
also been interviewed by the Boston Globe for her Yoga for Youngsters
Program. |
