WELLNESS WORKSHOPS

Lotus Blossom Yoga is committed to providing the most dynamic workshops to corporations, hospitals, and the community to educate individuals on wellness and health. Lisa Orkin-Passloff is a certified occupational therapist and a certified Kripalu Yoga instructor with twelve years of experience as an occupational therapist and four years of experience combining her clinical skills with her Yoga knowledge to bridge Eastern & Western medicine. Lotus Blossom Yoga is excited to offer these Wellness Workshops to health-oriented businesses and those businesses that truly care about the well-being of their employees.

Restorative Yoga Workshop
Experience Yoga poses as a restorative and restful way to relax. Using props such as pillows, bolsters, blocks, and straps, we will feel openings in our bodies and release muscles and tensions. A deep relaxation exercise will be included during this restorative Yoga session as well.
Chair Yoga Workshop
This workshop is most beneficial to those who are unable to experience Yoga on the floor either due to decreased agility or confined to a desk job. Learn to perform stretching & breathing exercises in a chair and how to synchronize the breath with movement while performing the chair Yoga poses.
Stress Management
Learn to identify "stressors" in your life and how to cope effectively. We will discuss indicators to look for such as breath awareness, sleep cycle, eating and daily routine that can be affected by stress. We need some stress in our lives in order to accomplish our goals. We will have a better understanding on how to reduce our stress in our lives through interactive discussions. Stress management skills are crucial more than ever now to achieve a balance between work, personal, and leisure activities.
Mindfulness & Meditation
Being mindful in our everyday lives is being present. One conscious way to be in the present moment is to follow your breath and your thoughts. Meditation is a practice of being present to all of one's sensations and sitting in silence. In this workshop, we will practice different ways to meditate and encourage mindfulness in our daily lives. Reference books will include: Wherever You Go, There You Are by John Kabat-Zinn and You Can Heal Your Life by Louise Hay.
Nurture Yourself & Follow Your Bliss
In this workshop, we will explore what nurtures us in our lives, and gain a deep understanding of our true selves. This is a transformational workshop for individuals going through work and/or personal life transitions. Each of us has an abundance of special talents, and we will learn how to unleash these gifts. To follow your bliss takes courage and faith in order to make your life's dreams a reality. Reference book for this workshop is The Artist's Way by Julia Cameron.
